Facebook integration for multiplayer collaboration with AI agents using Claude Code or Codex

One governed connection your whole team and its AI agents can share, with approved actions and human review, so working in Facebook never means pasting credentials into a prompt.

Use Facebook from Claude Code

Bring Facebook context into engineering work while Type keeps app access attached to the teammate and workspace.

Automate Facebook with Codex

Let coding agents ask for the right app action, preserve conversation context, and keep humans in the approval loop.

Connect open agent workflows

Use Type as the collaboration layer around OpenClaw and other LLM workflows that need app access.

Marketing & Social

What the Facebook integration exposes

Facebook is a social media and advertising platform used by individuals and businesses to connect, share content, and promote products or services. Only supports Facebook Pages, not Facebook Personal accounts.

One connection, many teammates

Connect Facebook once, then decide which teammates can use it for threads, automations, skills, and coding work.

Representative actions

  • Assign Page Task

Assigns tasks/roles to a business-scoped user or system user for a specific Facebook Page. Important: This action requires a business-scoped user ID or system user ID from Facebook Business Manager. Regular Facebook user IDs cannot be used. The page must also be managed through Facebook Business Manager for this action to work. Required permissions: business_management, pages_manage_metadata

  • Create Comment

Creates a comment on a Facebook post or replies to an existing comment.

  • Create Photo Album

Creates a new photo album on a Facebook Page. Note: This endpoint requires the 'pages_manage_posts' permission or equivalent permissions to be granted to your Facebook application. This action is publicly visible on the Page; confirm with the user before calling.

  • Create Photo Post

Creates a photo post on a Facebook Page. Requires an image to be provided via either 'url' (publicly accessible image URL) or 'photo' (local image file upload). This action is specifically for posting images with optional captions, not text-only posts. Returns a composite post_id (PageID_PostID); use this for follow-up operations, not the photo/media id alone.

  • Create Post

Creates a new text or link post on a Facebook Page. Requires `pages_manage_posts` permission and manage-level Page role on the target Page. For image posts use FACEBOOK_CREATE_PHOTO_POST; for video posts use FACEBOOK_CREATE_VIDEO_POST — media fields are not supported here. Returns a composite post ID in `PageID_PostID` format, required for FACEBOOK_GET_POST retrieval.

API and auth details

Facebook integrations use Meta Graph API and product APIs for pages, posts, comments, photos, videos, events, insights, ads-adjacent resources, webhooks, and Facebook Login-permissioned user or page data.

FAQ

Questions people ask before connecting Facebook

Can Claude Code use Facebook?

Yes. Type lets an AI teammate use connected Facebook actions from a governed workspace context, so Claude Code work can reference the app without copying credentials into a local prompt.

Can Codex work with Facebook through Type?

Yes. Codex can collaborate through Type with app context, skills, and approved actions. The Facebook catalog entry includes public integration details and example capabilities where available.

Is this the same as a Facebook MCP server?

Type exposes connected app capabilities to AI teammates and coding agents through Type's integration layer. Teams use it when they want shared app access, human review, and teammate-level permissions around agent work.
