How it works
Set up and use Type in Slack
Connect a Slack channel to a Type space, then @mention Type whenever you want a response.

Install
Select Add to Slack, sign in to Type, and choose the Slack workspace your team uses.

Add Type to a channel
In Slack, add Type to the channel where you want to use it. When prompted, choose the Type space you want that channel to connect to.

Use Type in Slack
@mention Type in a connected channel message or thread reply. Type replies in the Slack thread and syncs the conversation to the space.
Your team stays in control
Connect only what your team needs. Type follows the access and approval boundaries you set.
- Type can only access the Slack channels you choose.
- New channel connections default to @mentions, so Type does not respond to ordinary messages.
- Your space's skills, connections, and automations stay available to your team in Slack.
